Mythology
The Firebird / Phoenix Mythology
Disclaimer:
The firebird logo used for firebirdit.com.au and registered business Firebird I.T. is in no way associated with the firebird logo once used by General Motors Pontiac division.
The Firebird I.T. logo (designed by Timothy Windle, at the age of 10) was inspired by the logo that once appeared on the Firebird variation of the Pontiac vehicles.
There are two stories in history that relate to the Firebird, one specifically about the “firebird”, which is a Russian fairtale and the other, being the mythology of the “phoenix”.
My inspiration comes from the story of the phoenix, rising from the ashes, being re-born as a new entity, much like my business approach. A new beginning, a new life and coming back, stronger than ever.
More about the mythology of the phoenix can be seen here:

It also so happens that I’ve been an enthusiast of the Pontiac Firebird brand for a very long time and have been trying to keep a 1998 Firebird Formula alive, which is certainly a challenge!
When it comes to owning a vehicle like this, being a ‘custom built’ vehicle, you get to learn how to improvise, how to be creative and the value of finding the right people for the right job. I understand the value of doing things right and how custom solutions are often better than ‘off the shelf’. Sometimes, if you want to do something right, you need to build it yourself.
